1) Bird hunting binoculars go for around $300 - $400. Really?
2) The Mariner's have one of the best pitchers in the majors, and one of the best lead off hitters in the history of the sport, yet they managed to compile 100 losses for this season...and there is still one game to go.
3) There is a great Blog from Sean Nash, with whom I have no relation, called Nashworld. The guy is a biology teacher. Definitely no relation.

6) Someday I'll be playing like this guy:
7) If you are going to teach science in your classroom, get the book "The Elements" by Theodore Gray. It is a very humorous and light hearted way of learning about all the matter around us. Yup, if only Paris Hilton had a little more Polium in her bag...
8) I am now a proud subscriber to Field and Stream magazine. First article was about...you guessed it....binoculars.
9) If you ever want two Starbucks drinks for the price of one, just ask for it extra hot after they hand you the original. They have to make it all over again....AND they give you the one that was just "hot". Oops.
10) One of the best memories a parent can have with their kids is throwing bits of fries to the seagulls at Ivars down on the Seattle Waterfront during sunset. Feel free to avoid the Mariner game afterward though!!
Cheerio
